Heirloom Kids

Join Heirloom Farmers Markets on the 2nd Sunday of the month at the Rillito Park Farmers Market for the NEW Heirloom Kids Program! In conjunction with the Taste of the Market, Heirloom Kids is an opportunity for our youngest shoppers to learn where their local food comes from and to discover new healthy foods at their local farmers market. Our youngest shoppers are the future of our local food system and creating lasting impressions is the goal of Heirloom Kids. 

Families are invited to stop by Heirloom Kids for opportunities to discover new fruits and vegetables, learn simple recipes and cooking techniques, get to know local farmers, and engage in many more fun learning opportunities! For participating and completing the activity, kids will receive a Veggie Voucher to spend on a healthy food of their choice at the farmers market! Giving children the opportunity to shop for their own foods will empower them to make healthy choices and get to know their local food producers.
