Market Deal
August Rhodes Bakery originally opened as August Rhodes Market in July 2019, filling the space left open by our sister store, Prep & Pastry, when it moved to a larger location. While we opened as a sandwich, catering, flower and bakery shoppe; we made the difficult decision to shut down to the public during the COVID-19 crisis in March 2020 to focus on supplying our sister stores Prep & Pastry and Commoner & Co with the bread they needed to stay open and serve our community.
While were closed to the public, we had so much interest in our other restaurants for our bread that we decided to reopen to the public as a bakery, converting our dining space into more storage space for our fresh baked breads. We opened back up to the public in March 2021 in the space of Ares Collective’s newest concept, Flora’s Market Run, to give the people the bread they deserve.
