My art portrays the energy & purity of Spirit Animals & Native American life in the Southwest. I strive to show a sense of honor, respect, and compassion, whether I’m sketching at Powwows, or in the field. I feel the essence of spirit, passion, and heart.
Growing up in Arizona and during her childhood, Lynn Sakellar-Gekas lived at La Posta Quemada Ranch, a working cattle ranch behind Colossal Cave and Agua Caliente Ranch, sparking her interest in wildlife & Native American Culture. She attended the University of Arizona, University of Guadalajara, Mexico, and Santa Barbara Art Institute on scholarships.
